Urban Bush Women is a contemporary dance company that performs innovative and exciting works that bring untold stories to life!  In their debut performance with the Virginia Arts Festival,UBW will present the world premiere of "Hair and Other Stories", an evening-length work that addresses matters of race, gender identity and economic inequality through the lens of physic al appearance, including the cultural significance of African American women's hair.
